Initially established in 2005 BBI and two universities, EUROAULA and SAVONIA, have agreed a collaborative "Bilateral agreement", to exchange students and professors
This collaboration seeks to develop further international opportunities for students and to strengthen the international links between them. As such, the institutions have concluded a specific agreement for the creation of a double degree specialisation diploma for the Bachelor programme.
This agreement allows students from each university to spend a year at one of the partner institutions and, if the requirements are successfully met, to receive both the university degree of the home institution and the legal effects of the corresponding university degree of the partner institution through a Double Degree.
BBI students who follow one of these programmes can thus obtain a second degree at either EUROAULA or SAVONIA after four years of study: three years at BBI and one year at the host institution.
BA Degree – Specialisation in Tourism Management

EUROAULA, offers some of the best and most modern facilities in the centre of Barcelona. Since 1997, EUROAULA has been affiliated to the University of Girona, with a recognised degree in tourism.
EUROAULA is specialised in travel and tourism training, with a special emphasis on teaching quality, personalised follow-up and innovation. It trains future tourism professionals by providing knowledge and studying real cases. It prepares students for the highly competitive and constantly changing job market in this sector, enabling them to manage companies in the sector, providing them with foreign language skills and offering internships in tourism companies.
The methodology of the core curriculum reflects the new educational structure of the European Higher Education Area, encouraging teamwork, open participation and student mobility at European level.
BA Degree - Specialisation in Tourism & Hospitality Management
Savonia is one of the largest and most versatile universities of applied sciences in Finland. Savonia has almost 6000 students and about 500 staff members. Savonia has recently built and renovated a new campus in Kuopio, so that students can study in modern learning facilities.
Kuopio is the 9th largest city in Finland, located in the eastern part of the country. The city has about 110,000 inhabitants, a quarter of whom are students. Beautiful nature and a pleasant living environment with excellent services make Kuopio an attractive place to live - a city where quality of life is paramount.
The tourism and hotel management course at Savonia is practical and versatile. During many courses, students work on projects with local companies in the sector and with students from other fields. As part of the studies, students also benefit from an online learning environment. The studies include courses related to tourism and hospitality as well as business studies.
In addition to the 60 study credits of an academic year, the double degree programme also includes an internship, 15 credits, and a final thesis, 15 credits. The dissertation is completed usually during the academic year, together with the other studies and the internship after the academic year. Students can choose their placement location according to their own interests, either in Finland or abroad.
