 Queen Margaret University – Edinburgh


The quality assurance mechanisms of the British Universities have always been seen as one of the best standards for higher education, and particularly in the international field of education. Therefore, the decision for a British validation was decided, and two of the BBI’s programmes are validated by Queen Margaret University – Edinburgh,

Founded in 1875, originally as the Edinburgh School of Cookery, Queen Margaret University was recently named Scotland's top modern university, being ranked 29th out of 73 modern universities across the UK as a whole.


The QMU validation implies that the programmes BA – Bachelor of Art and MSc. Master of Science in International Hospitality Management” are accredited, and meets the requirements and applied the UK quality standards (QAA) audited by the QMU panel of experts, consisting of academic and professional representatives appointed by QMU. In consequence, BBI students are registered at both institutions, and if they successfully complete the BBI Bachelor and Master programmes, they will be awarded with the corresponding QMU degree. The BBI programmes are fully reviewed every five years

Since 2008, the institute(through its former Brussels campus has been awarded by the UNWTO.TedQual (Tourism Education Quality) certification is currently under renewal. This certification is the international hallmark of excellence in tourism and hospitality management education. The aim of the certification is to contribute to quality and efficiency, and represents one of the highest standards of achievement for tourism & hospitality schools worldwide.
The UNWTO.TedQual Certification is issued by the World Tourism Organisation, a specialised agency of the United Nations, to support the quality improvement of tourism education and training programmes around the world. The UNWTO.TedQual Certification is based on the understanding that quality of tourism education and training should be seen as a comprehensive and continuous process
